10th Durham Health Summit

The Duke University Health System held the 10th Durham Health Summit on April 14, 2011, from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, at the Washington Duke Inn in Durham, NC.

This year’s summit, Health: Whose Responsibility Is it? included the following:
  • Celebration of the multi-organizational initiatives and programs developed since the first health summit
  • The benefits of collaboration and partnerships across boundaries to address social determinants of health

  • CEO Roundtable: Workplace Wellness Models

Beam Signing and Topping Out Ceremony
for the new Duke Medicine Cancer Center
was held Thursday, November 4, 2010
 
 
The City of Medicine Academy groundbreaking ceremony was held on August 24th. 
 
At right, MaryAnn Black, Associate Vice President of Community Relations, helps break ground for the City of Medicine Academy along with the President of Durham Regional Hospital, the Superintendent of Durham Public Schools, and many others.

Ms. Black, the Associate Vice President of the Office of Community Relations, unveiled her dream on May 21st. Link to the Herald-Sun article.
