Hundreds of requests for philanthropic assistance are received each year throughout Duke Medicine. All requests are considered individually and on an ongoing basis and grant decisions are ultimately made by the DUHS Charitable Grants Committee. This Committee is composed of representatives from each of the major entities within Duke Medicine, and was created to coordinate the process of philanthropic support.
